Knowledge and Experience Transfer The NGO “Knowledge and Experience Transfer” was founded in 2013. The mission of the organization is
to support Georgia’s EU and NATO integration process.
The organization has following goals:
- Transfer of knowledge and experience of the EU member states to Georgia
Support adoption of NATO standards in Georgia - Study the experience of EU member states’ public institutions and support their partnership
with respective bodies of Georgia - Analysis and generalization of experience related to the legislative approximation
- Support exchange and adaptation of new EU member states’ experience in the field of private
sector support - Support export of Georgian products to the EU via improvement of Georgian entrepreneurs’
knowledge on EU trade regulations - Support implementation of reforms related to Georgia’s EU and NATO integration and
participation in respective initiatives - Transfer and adaptation of knowledge and experience in other priority areas
- Cooperation with central, regional and local governance institutions
- Participation in the work of various consultative bodies of the governmental institutions
- Inform public institutions, private sector and population on the EU and its member states
- Support reforms aimed at Georgia’s EU and NATO integration and participation in respective

- “Knowledge and Experience Transfer” constantly advocates green economy and sustainable
development topics. By the initiative of organization’s founder in 2015 active discussion was
initiated on the introduction of tax relief on the import of hybrid engine vehicles. As a result, the
Parliament of Georgia has reduced excise tax on the import of hybrid vehicles by 50%, that
supported import and deployment of ecological vehicles in Georgia.

Mikheil Skhiereli is a founder of “Knowledge and Experience Transfer” and from 2019 occupies the post
of Executive Director
